Obituary of Albert Hugh Knight

Beersheba Springs – Mr. Albert Hugh “Hooty” Knight, 86, died Monday November 21, 2016 at his home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Beersheba Springs on May 23, 1930 to Albert C. Knight and Bernice Miller Knight who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Lucille Knight and Vernie Green; brothers, Horace and Dennis Knight; grandson, Chase McGee. He was a member of the Cumberland Baptist Church, Sewanee Lodge #405 F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies of Nashville and the Almenah Shrine in Nashville. He had also served on the Beersheba Springs Rescue Squad. He was retired from Century Electric in McMinnville. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Imogene Smartt Knight; daughters, Melissa (Alton) Scruggs and Melody (Mike) Oliver; sons, Estel (Darlene) Knight, Elton (Jimmie) Knight, Ricky Knight and Clinton (Lawanda) Knight; sisters, Georgia (David) Nunley and Josephine Grimes; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Alton Scruggs officiating with burial to follow in the Hunerwadel Cemetery.
