Just heard of Miss Ophelia's passing. Loved her so much! Last night I opened a cookbook she gave me for a wedding present in 1973 to recheck a recipe in it. She was a wonderful lady and appreciated by the whole town of Altamont. So glad I knew her. Much sympathy to the family.
So sorry to see that Ophelia has passed. She was such a wonderful person. I have never seen her when she wasn't sweet and kind. I got to know her when I worked at the shirt factory and she run the cafe. Later I would go in and buy shoes from her.
