Obituary of Theoren Jerrold Murvin, Jr.

Altamont – Mr. Theoren Jerrold Murvin Jr., 87, died, Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the Elmcroft Senior Living facility in Chattanooga. He was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1929 to Theoren J. Murvin Sr. and Lillian Barwick Murvin who preceded him in death along with his step-mother, Agnes Sandra Murvin; sister, Laura Whitley. He was retired from United Airlines and was a pilot in the United States Airforce and the Civil Air Patrol also serving as chaplain. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was active in prison ministry in Florida and Tennessee. He attended Bethany College. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Murvin, Sandusky, MI; son and daughter-in-law, T.J. Murvin III (Sarah); brother, Chris Murvin, Orlando, FL; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
