Palmer – Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Stewart, 86, died Tuesday January 17, 2017 at the NHC Nursing Home in Dunlap, TN. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on February 11, 1930 to the Rev. John and Minnie Nunley Smith who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Ethelene Crabtree and Violet Coffelt; brothers, Otto, Elmer and Haywood Smith.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. Stewart of Palmer and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Riley Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
