Obituary of Naomi Ruth Nunley

Hixson – Mrs. Naomi Ruth Nunley, 65, passed away Monday January 16, 2017 unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Dunlap, TN on August 9, 1951 to Rev. Daniel Leander Layne and Hazel Ann Tate Layne who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Denise Hamilton and Syd Church; brothers, Daniel V. Layne, Eugene “Rocky” Layne and Ulys Layne. She raised her family in Coalmont, Tennessee and spent her early childhood in Daus then her family moved to Detroit for a few years then returned with her family to Grundy County. She was known for her beautiful singing with her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Danny J. Nunley; sons, Chad (Vanessa) and Matthew Nunley; daughter, Amanda Maynor; brothers. Kenny (Norma) Layne; sisters, Niki Nunley, Sandra (Johnny) Delvalle, Judy Myers and Connie Tate; grandchildren, Kerastin, Alora, Oliva, Braylon and Adriana Nunley; Hunter and Hayden Maynor; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Tony King officiating.
