Obituary of Charles L Sweeton

Gruetli-Laager – Mr. Charles L. “Skipper” Sweeton, 69, went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family, Church family and Pastor. He was born on July 13, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy D. Scissom; sister-in-law, Kathy Scissom. Skipper was a Sergeant in the US Army. He retired from Nissan after 17 years of Service. He was a member of the Cagle Community Church. He is survived by his son, Anthony (Jennifer) Sweeton; grandchildren, Taylor (Dalton) Holt, Mackenzie, Rylee and Jace Sweeton; mother, Dola Tate Scissom; brothers, Nicky, Ronald (Teresa) and Ricky (Connie special care giver) Scissom; sisters, Sandra Rankin, Patricia (Kelly) Haddock; 7 nephews, 7 nieces; 9 great nephews, 7 great nieces; 1 great great nephew. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Darrell Nance officiating along with the Agee Family and Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
