Palmer – Mr. Jerry Cannon, 80, passed away, Friday February 17, 2017 at the Raintree Manor Nursing Home in McMinnville. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on September 9, 1936 to Fred Leon and Rosa Lea McBee Cannon who preceded him in death along with his wife, Charlotte Long Cannon; brother, Wayne Cannon; daughter-in-law, Jerri Harrrison Cannon.
Jerry was a US Army veteran and was a member of the Teamsters Union driving a truck, working for TVA.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Morrison; sons, Teddy Cannon, Montgomery, AL and Robert (Billie) Doggett of Broughton, IL; step-daughters, Jerrilyn Nunley and Carleen (Mike) Myers; brother, A.C. (Sue) Cannon; sisters, “Sis” Lucretia (Late E.W.) Layne and Rosalyn (Charles Ronnie) Knight; sister-in-law, Connie Cannon; grandchildren, Matt and Evan Morrison, RaSha (Josh) Ramsey, Caleb Cannon and Peyton Cannon, Jeremy and Chuck (Jo) Campbell, Mary (Chris) Scott, Chris Nunley, Nick and Marc (Corryn) Bracy, Amanda (Ricky) McKnight, Deborah (Carl ) Wiseman, Brittann y and Jasmine Doggett; 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Keith McBee officiating and Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
