Obituary of Richard Nolan Meeks

Gruetli-Laager – Mr. Richard Nolan Meeks, 82, passed away Monday June 12, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga after a sudden illness. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 1, 1935 to Norman Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Smith Meeks who preceded him in death along with his son, Dwayne Meeks; 8 brothers and sisters.

Richard was a over the road truck driver.

He is survived by his, daughter, Cheryl Meeks, Gruetli-Laager; son, Tim (Katie) Meeks, Clawson, Michigan; brother, Norman Jr. “June Bug” (Carolyn) Meeks; daughter-in-law, Pam Meeks; mother of his children, Gladys Tate Ross; his best friend his, dachshund, “Toby”; long time friend and companion, Bonnie Jones of Soddy-Daisey, TN; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
