Obituary of Gregory Wakeman "Snake" Smartt

Beersheba Springs – Mr. Gregory Wakeman "Snake" Smartt, 74, passed away Friday June 30, 2017 at his home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Altamont, Tennessee on June 6, 1943 to Vester and Lorene Woodlee Smartt who preceded him in death along with his wife, Clara Mae Myers Smartt.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Altamont and was a heavy equipment operator. He also worked at Century in McMinnville for several years.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron (Andrea) Smartt and Alan (Heather) Smartt; daughter, Audra Campbell; sisters, Pansy (Leon) Christian, Geraldine (Late Arthur) Killian and Mamie (Waymon) McGee; brother, Robin (Diane) Smartt; grandchildren, Angel Layne and Bridget Smartt, Jacob and Kenny Campbell; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with
