I am so saddened by the passing of Katherine. I met her in the 80's when she worked at the nursing home in Monteagle. She was the best nurse! She truly cared for her patients and her co workers. I would see her at the Dorcas (SDA thrift shop) in Cumberland Heights for many years. Last year before she sold her house, my husband and I went and measured her roof as she was trying to sell it. We had the nicest visit. She was still "sharp as a tack" and still fussing at me for smoking! lol... For years before I became a Christian, her conduct drew me toward God. She was a very special lady and I know that not only will her family miss her, her friends on this mountain will miss her, too. I pray that God will surround you all with Angels to comfort each of you and lift you up. She was definitely loved but most of all SHE LOVED.
