Obituary of Thelma Layne Pocus

Soddy- Daisy – Mrs. Thelma Dean Layne Pocus, 77, passed away Sunday September 17, 2017 at her home with her family at her bedside. She was born in Garrett, Kentucky on August 3, 1940 to Henry C. Layne and Betty Crisp Layne who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her son, Michael Leigh Cushman Pocus; sisters, Ruth Evelyn Deakins and Henrietta Watkins; brothers, Clarence Mitchell, Marvin Edwin, Vernon Willis and Gilbert Layne.

She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Pocus and son, Daren R. Pocus.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM CDT Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister James Troyer officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM CDT Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
