Obituary of Joe Willard Fults

Coalmont – Mr. Joe Willard Fults, 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday September 25, 2017 at the Hospice Care Facility in Chattanooga with his wife and daughter at his bedside. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on September 17, 1927 to Theron and Josephine Brown Fults who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Leon, Marvin, Gene, Hughey and Robert “Skip” Fults; sister, Brenda Britton.

He was a member of the Laager Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy from April 27, 1943 – February 27, 1946. He retired from the Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Emma Jean Worley Fults; daughter, Sandra (Julius) Hofer; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Ed and Bruce Fults of Iowa; sister, Anna Carol of Florida; a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minster Matthew Meeks and Bro. Larry Crabtree officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy.
