Obituary of Joan Fletcher Tate

Gruetli-Laager – Ms. Joan Fletcher Tate, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 15, 1935, to the late Edward Earl and Myrtle Mae Fletcher Licht, in Cleveland, OH. In addition to her parents, Ms. Tate is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Tate, one son, Gerald Tate, and three sisters, Hope Markel, Vivian Skipworth, and Anna Mae Maddock.

She is survived by her three sons, Gary, Grant, and Joey Tate; two daughters, Lisa Rector and Felisha (Kapen) Totherow; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM CST Saturday, October 14 at the funeral home with Bro. Stacy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 13, from 4 – 9 PM at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
