Obituary of Nell Beauty Lappin

Coalmont – Mrs. Nell Sartain Lappin, 88, passed away Monday October 16, 2017 at her home with her family at her bedside. She was Born in Pelham, Tennessee on April 29, 1929. She was a member of the Coalmont Church of Christ.

She was preceded in parents, Louis and Betty Dickerson Sartain; husband, Ralph M. Lappin Sr.; brothers, Edison, Mark, Louie and Minter Sartain; sisters, Clercy Jane Myers, Hazel Hawk, Stella Argo and Alberta Miley.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Lindy) Lappin, Coalmont and Ralph (Sandy) Lappin Jr., Princeton, Rhode Island; daughters, Debbie (Bill) Scissom, Coalmont, Janet (Late Rudy) Johnson, Coalmont, Anita (Keith) Brewer, Manchester, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Rusty Hargis officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
