Obituary of George Franklin Richardson

Beersheba Springs-Altamont   Funeral services for Mr. George Franklin Richardson, age 83 of Beersheba, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1 PM at Layne Funeral Home in Altamont with Phillip Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Fults Cemetery. Visitation with the Richardson family will be Friday, November 3, 2017, from 5 – 9PM at the funeral home. Mr. Richardson passed away on Wednesday, November 1, at the VA Hospital in Nashville.

Franklin was born on November 19, 1933, to the late Jesse Herman and Lillian Edna Scott Richardson in Irvin College, TN. He served his country in the United States Army for two years. He was a self-employed Logger until he retired.

In addition to his parents, Franklin is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Faye McGee Richardson; five brothers, Ernest, Bobby, EJ, Donnie, and Clarence Richardson; and four sisters, Avis Davis, Judy Richardson, Emma Jane Daniel, and Sandra Borne. He is survived by his son, Jimmy (Kathy) Richardson of Beersheba, two grandsons, Dewayne (Amanda) Richardson, and Bradley (Alicia) Richardson; two great grandsons, Andrew and Fielder Richardson; and one brother, Larry (Nadine) Richardson.
