Obituary of Kelly Amos HIggins

Palmer – Mr. Kelly Amos Higgins, 84, passed away at his home Sunday November 19, 2017 with his wife at his bedside. He was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on April 1, 1933 to Wiley Amos Higgins and Carrie Layne Higgins who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Paul and Richard Higgins; sisters, Bell Green, Hannah Kilgore, Pauline Bennett and Mabel Meeks.

He was retired from the State of Tennessee DOT and GAF Chemical Corporation in Chattanooga. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Creighton Higgins; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Carol (Lecil) Nolan brother and sister-in-law, Bobby (Patricia) Creighton; sister-in-law, Sue Creighton; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Browns Chapel Cemetery with Minister Clayton Jones officiating. Visitation: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
