Obituary of William Wayne Layne

Gruetli-Laager - Rev. William Wayne Layne, Sr.,  65, passed away December 20, 2017. He was retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal. He was born on June 21, 1952 to Raymond and Thelma Summers Layne who preceded him in death along with his sister, Elouise Griffith; brothers, Don, Jerry and Larry; step-son, Charles White, Jr.; father-in-law, Rev. Roger Dewey Meeks.

He left behind his loving wife, Rhonda Layne; sons, Wayne Jr. (Crystal), Raymond and Gab (Maryann) Layne, Cole and Justin Davis; daughters, Stacy (Nathan) Holland, Juanita (Mikey) Powell, Jerica Davis, Whitney (Garret) Bryant; sisters, Fay Shrum, Gayle (Terry) Saylors; mother-in-law, Barbara Meeks; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Terry) Stevens and Stefanie Meeks; 28 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery. Visitation 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Layne Funeral Home, Inc. Palmer, Tennessee
