Obituary of Shirley Ann Parson

Coalmont – Miss Shirley Ann Parson, 70, passed away, Monday March 5, 2018 at the home of her brother in Coalmont, Tennessee. She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on November 13, 1947 to Johnny Parson and Bessie Allen Bennett Parson who preceded her in death along with her sister, JaNora Lynn Dixon; brothers, Rodger and Gaylon Parson.

She was a member of the Chestnut Springs Congregational Methodist Church and was employed at Creighton Chevrolet for over 30 years. She was a devoted and loving person caring for her family.

She is survived by her brothers, Dean (Carol) Parson and Scotty (Natalie) Parson; sister-in-law, Bernice Parson; brother-in-law, Amos Dixon; nieces and nephews, Micky, Misty, Kristy, Cindy, Amy, Jonathon, Robert, Neal, Roger K. (Porker), Chris H. (Bully), Josh, Laura and Andrew.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Joe Nunley officiating with burial to follow in the Bonny Oaks Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
