Obituary of Bessie Lee Brown

Gruetli-Laager – Mrs. Bessie Lee Brown, 79, passed away, Saturday May 12, 2018 at her home. She was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on December 3, 1938 to John Francis Burnett and Mary Ann Hargis Burnett who preceded her in death in addition to her son, Wade Anthony Brown; sister, Nelene Singleton; brothers, James, Johnny and Paul Burnett.

She was the owner operator of Brown’s Dairy Bar in Gruetli-Laager for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Hershel Douglas Brown; sons, Glen Douglas Brown and Ricky N. (Patty) Brown; daughter, Glenda Kathy (Leslie) Hall; sister, Mary Frances Rogers; grandchildren, Kristie Tender and John Douglas Hall, Tyler and Dylan Brown; great grandchildren, Brittney, Colton, Tylee, Justin, Jaden and T.J.; great great granddaughter, Haylen Elyse; several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Greg Burnett officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
