Obituary of Joyce Jean Evans

 Altamont, Tennessee – Mrs. Joyce Evans, 82, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2019 at her home in Skymont.  She was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 20, 1937 to Royal Miller and Mary Iva Goff Miller Ellwood who preceded her in death along with her step-father, Ralph Ellwood; husband, Bobby Franklin Evans; brother, Forrest Miller.

She attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Monteagle and had worked for Bell Telephone.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Lape, Chelsea, MI and Shawne Lige, Jackson, MI; brothers, Douglas Miller, Grand Ledge, MI; sister-in-law, Jackie Miller, Grand Ledge, MI; step-children, Terry Evans and Tammy Evans; granddaughters, Michelle Melendez  and April Edwards; grandson, Zachary Evans; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday May 11, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating.  Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
