Obituary of James William Brown

Palmer -  Mr. James William Brown, age 91, of Palmer, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. He was born on June 8, 1928, to the late William Cecil and Martha Cleo Givens Brown in Palmer, TN. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, a life member of the American Legion, and ac avid case knife collector.  Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Ford Brown and brother, Paul Brown. He is survived by nieces, Kathleen (Michael) Moore and Cheryl (Danny) White,  and nephew, Paul (Leann) Brown, great nieces, Tracy Crabtree and Laurel Brown; with extended family in Michigan, five nephews, 7 nieces, 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 11:30 CST at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga with military honors.

As per Mr. Brown's request, all memorial donations should be sent to the American Diabetes Associations.
