Obituary of Abbie Lillian Tate

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Abbie Lillian Tate, 90, passed away Tuesday September 10, 2019 at the Sheltering Arms Assisted Living in Palmer, Tennessee.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 8, 1929 to Alec King and Mary Tate King who preceded her in death along with her husband, Rex Tate; daughter, Clayta Jean Richardson; sisters, Oma Lee Shrum, Louise Stockwell. Corine Stockwell, Mary Eunice Phillps, Willie Mae Brown and Pauline Sherman; brothers, Walter, Preston, Ray and J.L. King; father of her children, Everett Slatton; grandson, Scottie Everett Slatton.

She attended the Faith Missionary Academy Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita (Gerald) Rollins; sons, Carl Houston (Peggy) Slatton and Harold Thomas (Betty Joe) Slatton; sisters, Bonnie Delashment and Margie Tate; grandchildren, Allen, Alex, Chris, Beth, Ricky and Stacy; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Stacy Smith and Joe Sanders officiating with burial to follow in the Richardson Cemetery in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee.
