Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Theodore “Ted” Smartt, 73, passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at the STRHS Hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee. He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on March 25, 1947 to Little Vester Smartt and Lydia Mae Fitch Smartt who preceded him in death along with his wife, Daisy M. Smartt; brother, Roy A. Smartt; son, Tim Young.
He is survived by his grandson, Coty (Heather) Young; granddaughter, Iesha Neal; daughter, Melissa Wright; sister, Mae (Chester) Fitch; great grandchildren, Sawyer Perry and Saydee Young; special friend, Daniel Campbell and a host of other close friends.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Altamont Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Campbell officiating. Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
