I have many fond memories of Bernice during the the last couple of years that I have known her, but one of the best memories I could have with her, is when I was sitting by her bedside at the hospital. We watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy together, just as we did if we visited her at home. But she had a very serious conversation with me, and told me that she didn't have much time left here on this Earth, but not to be sad over her departure, because she knows Jesus... and then she said "I know that I know that I know, where Im going". She was always so happy about Jesus and telling everyone around her about Him. I'm going to miss her wonderful heart and spirit, but I know that she is the happiest shes ever been at this moment. Bernice shared with me a few months ago her favorite visits here was when my little Moma took her to Opryland Hotel to walk around and see all the beautiful lights and gardens. She loved my Daddy her brother Joe, and he loved her. I always felt blessed knowing she was praying for me. Now I have peace knowing she joins our other Shrum Angels watching over us all. Now whole, no sickness, no pain, no suffering or sorrow. I still have a message she left me when my Moma passed, and I will cherish it forever. Love Ginger (Joe Brannon's Daughter)
