Minnie was always smiling in our childhoods and was very kind to me every time I was in her presence.
Although Judy would be the main motivation for my visit to the "Freezette," Minnie was always a delight to see and to visit.

My condolences to the family of Minnie Smith. I will be glad when there is no more death, sickness, or anything that hurts. Someday there will be such a place. (See Revelation 21:4). Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in that beautiful land with complete happiness and no worries whatsoever? Let's all strive to meet there someday. I hope that this brings some comfort, however small it may be, in this time of sorrow for the loss of your loved one.

I knew Minnie when she worked at Print Services at the University of the South. I remember her so well--stories she told, her intelligence, honesty, and directness. I admired her very much from the day I met her--as a person and as a leader. She was someone I could trust--someone who saw things clearly and could articulate her view well and concisely. Minnie was also a force of nature--so strong! So vibrant! The world is dim without her in it. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

My name is Mishoe Brennecke, and I knew Minnie during her years of service at the University of the South, first as secretary to the Dean of the College and then as the head of Print Services. She figures strongly among my earliest memories of working at the University and was a much loved figure among faculty and staff for her quick wit and amazing ability to handle problems big and small. She was a hard worker who cared about this institution and its mission. She made an important, positive contribution to our work and lives and will be greatly missed. I am deeply saddened by the news of her death.

I worked with Minnie for many years in Print and Mail Services at Sewanee. She always kept everyone on their toes in more ways than one. She was definitely one of a kind. She was taken too soon and I know I, and many others will miss her. May you rest in peace Minnie.
